Collection: Blacklisted Collection

The Blacklisted Collection was created from the idea that we should pay homage to the pioneers of culture without the approval or validation of mainstream outlets or popular opinions. Many times the curation of Black culture is done from the outside looking in whereas, we believe it is us who should identify and celebrate our cultural innovators. Again, we don’t try to make 𝘥𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 lists. We make conversation pieces that capture the 𝘻𝘦𝘪𝘵𝘨𝘦𝘪𝘴𝘵 or general feeling of different categories of culture. We aim to highlight a few notable figures on each design so that we continue to appreciate our significant contributions to popular culture, arts, entertainment, scholarship, and more. The logo for this collection takes inspiration from Public Enemy’s album artwork for Fear of a Black Planet. 🪐
